“I have been a personal trainer at OAC since 2017. My interests lie in corrective exercise, helping people post-surgery, as well as, with injury prevention. I am an active combat athlete. I have been competing in Brazilian jiu jitsu for the last 8 years. I compete in powerlifting. I have a WA state bench press record. I am currently Training to beat the national bench press record. I have clients who hold state and national powerlifting records. I run a youth program at MABJJ. I have been teaching Brazilian jiu jitsu since 2021 and I have been an active martial artist since 1997.
There is a saying, which states “Every Trainer’s first client is themselves.” As a child and young adult, I battled with fluctuating weight and low self-esteem. I didn’t like who I was so I decided to make a change. I believe anyone can change to become the best version of themselves, which usually starts with one’s health and then manifests throughout all other aspects of their life. We all have goals that are personal and unique to our situation in life. My job as a trainer/coach is to help my clients take the most effective path towards meeting those goals while maintaining a safe and fun environment. I get to watch people from so many different walks of life change inside and out as a result of their hard work. The greatest joy I get from my career is witnessing that transformation in my clients.”
